Multinational Healthcare Solutions Company Project
Description
In an effort to make future audits faster and less painless, a multinational healthcare solutions company decided to apply for the CAP program. In order to gain acceptance, all past audits had to be closed and agreed upon by the IRS. This was a major task as they had open audits dating back 8 years.
With a “green” controversy team, they realized the department required a leader to assist with strategy and direct the team. They called TaxForce.
The company requested two associates. One with experience leading audit teams and a transfer pricing specialist as they knew there would be work surrounding this area. Further, this individual would pose as a mentor for their in-house team throughout the project while helping to close all audits.
TaxForce presented one associate who was strong in both audit and transfer pricing. In turn, this company was able to optimize their consulting budget during this three-year project by bringing on only one associate, and taking advantage of TaxForce’s affordable pricing structure.

Lofty Technology Goals
Description
The newly appointed financial leadership of an American producer of computer memory and data storage set forth lofty goals surrounding technology.
With the ultimate vision of shortening closing cycles, they looked to bring in an associate who knew eight different technology softwares. (OneSource Income Tax, OneSource Tax Provision, Corptax for compliance, Alteryx, Power BI, Blue Prism, Tableau, and Blackline)
This person was to create the best ROI by assessing the current software and choosing new programs from a list compiled by a Big4 assessment. Leadership knew finding an individual with this skillset would be difficult, but in working with Taxforce in the past, they were confident TaxForce would be up for the challenge.
In only two days, TaxForce put together a dream team consisting of two associates. Combined, these two individuals were certified and administrators on all eight softwares, and previously implemented almost all of them. Within one week, the individuals were interviewed, hired, and started the project. In short, by reaching out to TaxForce, this client didn't have to settle for one associate that checked "most of their boxes." The professionals hired exceeded all expectations, and better yet, were affordable.

International APA Project
Description
TaxForce was able to use its network of highly skilled tax associates to help a global medical device and supply manufacturing company to complete a Japanese APA. The project faced a two-month deadline after it was abandoned by the sudden resignation of the Director over Transfer Pricing.
The company had been working on a Japanese APA for three years. They were only two months away from their deadline when the person championing the project, the Director of Transfer Pricing, resigned without notice. After meeting with the Vice President of Tax and Senior Director of Tax Planning, whom this role ultimately reported to, it was determined TaxForce needed to act quickly. He had two options: partner with TaxForce or enlist the help of one of the Big 4. Ultimately, he chose TaxForce due to the quality of the associate and the cost.
During the project analysis call, the team at TaxForce was able to quickly assess the constraints as well as the specific qualifications required to get the APA completed. Due to their incredible network that spans over 30 years of work with tax departments they were able to get a perfectly matched associate on site in less than one week. This assocaite was an attorney with substantial history working with large corporations, and most importantly, he had extensive experience specifically with APAs.
The associate was able to ensure the timely and successful completion of the APA, as well as contribute to additional ongoing, high-profile projects. One of the major benefits of using TaxForce’s network consulting model is the ease of the associates to do any knowledge transfer for the new permanent hires. This company was ecstatic to see that as a result of this associate’s years of experience in leadership roles he was able to help bring the new, permanent hire up to speed seamlessly.
Not only did the TaxForce associate save the day on this project, but his rate was only $246/hr. The experience of this associate would have been the equivalent of a Managing Director/Partner at one of the Big 4 firms, which would have cost at a minimum 300% more.

“We had a short-term need for an experienced tax professional to fit a very specific and high-profile tax role. It was critical that we kept momentum on multiple projects and we needed a resource to come in cold and to perform at a high level. TaxForce did a great job of listening to our needs and finding a candidate who really matched the skill set and requirements of the position. They removed the pressure of scouring the universe to find the right person for the position. The consultant definitely had the right background, demeanor, and approach to the projects. He performed an integral role on several ongoing projects, adding outside perspective where appropriate while not reinventing the wheel. We definitely would use TaxForce again to find just the right resource for our needs, whether short or long-term and regardless of complexity. TaxForce really added value by making the right connection for us.”
Senior Director, Tax Planning
Direct Supervisor of ConsultantChemical Manufacturing Company - M&A Project
Description
When a Fortune 500 chemical manufacturing company required assistance in their tax department, they were torn between outsourcing to their long-term Big4 partner and TaxForce. Here is the story of how they made a decision by which they were extremely pleased.
Highly inquisitive, this company has a pattern of regular acquisitions and restructurings. During one of their latest acquisitions, they realized there was a need for an associate with experience in M&A global transactions and with a legal background to help the department for 9-12 months.
In search of making the most educated decision, they received quotes from their Big4 partner and TaxForce. While the Big4 always offers a safe solution to staffing needs, TaxForce was able to present an ideal candidate that not only exceeded the company’s expectations from an experience standpoint, but came at a fraction of the cost quoted by the Big4.
The TaxForce associate started almost immediately, providing instant relief to the Director of Tax Planning by taking over a very time-consuming part of her workload. Our client was so impressed by the associate's performance that in 4 months, they offered her a full-time position as the Head of Global Tax Planning.
Since then, this Fortune 500 chemical manufacturing company fully understands the value TaxForce added to their department and has become a three time repeat client.
